At the same time, the vast majority of property managers, over 80% are satisfied with their jobs, proud of their position and enjoy the people they work with (The Voice of the Property Manager report by the National Apartment Association). Out of a total of more than 1,600 property managers, more than 60% reported that they had a good balance between work and their personal lives. Forty-three percent indicated that their work is in the very busy range, while 13% were inclined to say that their activity was extremely busy. Of the group that is saturated with their occupation, only 52% expect to be working in property management in the next 3 years, and 25% expect to switch industries with their own assignment.

Not only is there a decrease of more than 3 million employees in the workforce compared to February 2020, but also the after effects of COVID-19 have increased the workloads of current workers in the industry, increasing the demand for property management services and consequently increasing the expectations of higher salaries for workers involved in the activity according to this latest report. Those who participated in the survey shared that one of the most complex tasks has been maintaining adequate staffing levels for the activity as one of the most complex tasks, and mentioned as a final comment to the survey their concern about the high turnover that the industry will experience in the next 5 years, with temporary staff leaving their positions for low pay, high hourly loads and excessive responsibility.
